To everybody bitching about the Hallelujah...
wolfkazumaru: shaon: wolfkazumaru: Remember early on in the film, when Parker has that chunk of unobtainium floating above a magnet on his desk? The camera zooms right in on it and everything. He spins it in the field and talks about it for a little bit. This shows that unobtainium floats in a magnetic field. Now, remember why none of the scanners will work in the Hallelujah Mountains? ...

On Resets
Had a bit of a purge of my Flickr account. Nothing of any value to anyone other than me was lost, I think. If you think I’ve just removed anything valuable to anyone else, feel free to give me a shout.

Cirrial: But then I decided, on the topic of the Keepers, that I do want them to have some humanoid features to be more sympathetic. >_>
Cirrial: i would have a hell of a hard time trying to get an audience to empathise with some sort of pulsating gelatinous blob, for example
Wolf Kazumaru: I dunno, I empathised with yer mum last night.

Cirrial: Still haven't decided on their physiology/appearance. Humanoid dragons, alien pterodactyls, humans-with-minor-cosmetic-differences...
Cirrial: like i don't know
Cirrial: forehead rid- no that's taken
Wolf Kazumaru: Pointed ea-- oh damn
Cirrial: blue skin and ant- fuck
Cirrial: Star Trek's pretty much taken all the rubber forehead aliens.
Cirrial: If not Star Trek, then Doctor Who.
Wolf Kazumaru: Blue skin, can breed with any other sentie- oh wait
Cirrial: ...To its credit, Doctor Who has fairly imaginative humanoid aliens. >_>
Cirrial: and its own multiple explanations for the prevalence of humanoid aliens
Wolf Kazumaru: How about squishy, awkward fellows with two legs, two arms, two eyes, a spine prone to damaging itself, genetalia roughly at the intersection of the lower limbs, and a head of shaggy, fur-like substance?
Cirrial: no that's just too weird
Cirrial: no-one would equate to that
Wolf Kazumaru: Oh, true.
Cirrial: what creature could possibly just have fur in a few places and not the whole body
Cirrial: it makes no sense
Wolf Kazumaru: True, true. I suppose I did get a bit carried away there.

On Tetris
Who could have known the complexities of such a deceptively simple game? Specifically, the complexities of implementing Tetris through the magic of Java Swing applets. I want an OO approach but it seems the old fashioned way is more appropriate.

Continuity →
I love the music mixing in this game. The peace of the music as you warp the reality of the level, and then the action as you… jump up some platforms.
